European Conference for Politics and Gender
The European Conference for Politics and Gender (ECPG) took place in the Belgian city of Ghent from July 8 to 10, 2024.
Among other things, the conference addresses how “understanding gender is key to understanding politics”. Since 2009, the event has contributed to advancing the study of gender and sexuality in politics, networking researchers in this field of research and dealing with intersectional approaches, among other things.
Alba María Kugelmeier López from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg was a speaker at the conference to present her second dissertation paper “Intersectionality in a Web of Barriers: Deliberations on three theoretical approaches”, as well as participating as Section Chair and Panel Chair.
