Welcome Week WiSe 2024/25
On Monday, we welcomed our 12 freshmen and kicked off the week with a round of speed dating so that the students could get to know each other. After the enrolment ceremony, we went to the canteens together to fortify ourselves for the upcoming campus rally. We rounded off the first day with a flunky ball tournament in the Nordpark.
Tuesday began with an introduction to timetabling by the student council, which also provided time for open questions. In the evening, we took our first-year students barhopping through Magdeburg's nightlife.
On Wednesday, the department and the Language Center introduced themselves. The day ended with a barbecue organized by the Faculty of Human Sciences, where our first-year students were also able to exchange ideas with students from other disciplines.
On Thursday, a visit to Europe Direct was on the agenda, followed by two rounds of laser tag together. We spent the evening celebrating at the Insel der Jugend.
The last day of the Welcome Week began with a hangover breakfast and a round of beer yoga - just the thing to recover from the previous evening!
Afterwards, we explored the city on a city rally so that everyone who was new to Magdeburg could get to know the city better. We ended the week with a cozy games evening at Tacheles!
