Fieldtrip Berlin
On the 24th and 25th June 2024 European Studies students took part in a field trip to Berlin. They visited holocaust memorials and gained information about the city and culture through a personal tour guide. The trip was financially supported by Landeszentrale für politische Bildung which was also the first stop for everyone. Manuel Knapp gave an input about backgrounds of the European election, results and patterns from the analysis. Students not only had the possibility to discuss and exchange their perspective on the European Union but also talk about the influence of social media on voting behaviour.
The Bundesrat was the next intitution visited by the students.
Monday afternoon the participants werde welcomed in the State Represantation of Saxony-Anhalt by the Secretary of State Simone Goßner. She gave an insight on her work and invited everyone to a strategic talk.
On Tuesday the students visited the Representation of the European Commission with a following talk in the "European House", where political questions from the participants were critically answered.
