In a comparative fashion while affected during times of crises, domestic actors' preferences are examined in shaping their respective governments' positions, thereby facilitating and constraining development and content of contemporary EU decision making. Research questions comprise amongst others studies concerning (1); EU trade and investment negotiations such as the CAI and TTIP, (2); post-crisis reform efforts such as Banking Union and Next Generation EU, as well as, (3); energy transition issues within the European Green Deal framework.
